In an effort to help men and women break free from the powerful grip of addiction, Azure Acres, a leading provider of effective drug and alcohol addiction treatment in Sonoma County, California, is pleased to offer a full continuum of services designed to foster lasting recovery. Azure Acres offers intensive outpatient programming at two separate locations, with one located in Sacramento, California.
Our Locations
One of Azure Acres’ two intensive outpatient programs (IOP) is located in the heart of Sacramento, California. This program, which is available to men and women aged 18 or older, can be utilized as a step-down following the completion of our residential care. Additionally, this IOP can be beneficial to those who do not require residential treatment but do need more support than traditional outpatient services can offer.
Both of our IOP groups meet four times per week for twelve weeks offering both day and evening schedules. The Thursday night group also invites our lifetime continuing care clients to participate in group and alumni activities. Our outpatient locations are centrally located near public transportation for those that seek our services.
Our Treatment Therapies
In choosing to partake in our Sacramento intensive outpatient program (IOP), clients will participate in the following therapeutic interventions:
Individual therapy: Held once per week or more based on request, individual therapy sessions help clients to process their feelings and experiences in a private setting with an assigned certified chemical dependency counselor. These sessions can be a time for men and women to talk about their recovery journeys and establish goals for their futures.
Group therapy: So as to provide our clients with the support and encouragement they need, our Sacramento IOP features several group therapy sessions for the duration of each client’s stay in this outpatient treatment program. Over the course of IOP treatment, clients will participate in 24 to 30 group therapy sessions over a period of six to 8 weeks. While attending these groups, men and women will discuss the following topics in process groups and other recovery-related groups:
- Relapse Trigger & Prevention PlanRecovery Foundation Tools
- Healthy Communication
- Identifying Feelings
- Coping with Stress
- Impulse Control
- Anger Issues
- Attitudes
Family therapy: On the first and third Wednesday of each month, those closest to our clients are welcome to participate in family therapy sessions as part of our outpatient treatment. Led by our dedicated counselors, these sessions will cover the following educational topics that will help client’s loved ones understand drug and/or alcohol addiction and learn how to support the individual they care about in a meaningful way:
- Disease actuality
- Communication styles and healthy boundaries
- Trust and forgiveness
- Co-dependency and enabling
